I made my first movie using Imovie.  It is mostly a very user friendly program.  It’s super easy to cut and paste videos and add transitions.  The hardest part for me to figure out was how to put pictures into the video.  When uploading videos there is a button to import them into imovie.  When putting in the pictures there is a drop down menu and one has to drag and drop the pictures into the video.  Once that was figured out the rest of the movie was easy to create.  It was simple to add music and very easy to trim the music clips to the times that I wanted it to start and stop.  Also it allowed me to overlay the music so the songs faded into each other.  That was a very important aspect of my video for me and I was afraid that the music wouldn’t sound good.  I was happy when i realized that I could make the music overlap in order to make the soundtrack smooth and not chopped up from song to song.  Adding in the captions was also very easy.  Over all my experience with Imovie was really good and I actually look forward to making more videos.  New Birthday present idea maybe??
